I am the frickin' King of shoulder surgery. Full tears both shoulders. Like Mark, first one was a bitch. Second one easier, thank goodness. Did mine in the gym. Lifting too heavy/stupid. Don't think that will be a help to you, though; sorry. If a shoulder is bothering you, you may want to start some physical therapy at home; a wealth of info on-line on what you can do, most using 1-3 lb weights. Five years since the last surgery, and I still do rotator cuff therapy every day. Shoulders never felt better (and still lifting 5-6 time a week).
