I'm trying to fix a broken window on a house from the 1950's. The window is approximately 30"x17". The frame is wood and the single pane sash is wood. The problem is there doesn't seem to be any putty holding the glazing in. Also, there doesn't appear to be molding holding the glass in either. It appears to me that the window sash was assembled around the pane of glass. Is this possible? If so, how does one replace the glazing?
