Norway Spruce - Bareness and Spots on Trunk

I have a Norway Spruce with bareness and spots on the trunk - Anyone with knowledge on Norway Spruce? Is there a concern about the bareness and condition of the trunk in these pics? I am in Northern NJ. Any treatment suggestions if necessary?
