Faceplate doesn't fit above new countertop backsplash... replace box?

I had my kitchen cabinets replaced and the backsplash is now at the level of the screws on the faceplate. I don't think that I can slide it up high enough to allow me to use the lower screws, as seen in the picture. Is there a way to adjust the box without replacing it?
