Hi- Due to a poorly installed solar panel system on my roof (1950's suburban ranch; deck is ~1x4 pine slats- common for the period; recent architectural asphalt shingles within 15yrs; new york), the panels and tracks and electrical fittings must be removed in order for the shingles and membrane to be removed and replaced. (The roof started leaking a few months after installation- now there are 5 leaks). There are already numerous 'patched' penetrations made by the original solar panel...
